OUR HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY

The Directors of Brebur Limited are committed to the prevention of injury and ill health and providing a safe working environment for their employees to ensure; so far as is reasonably practicable, their health, safety and welfare at work. These responsibilities are also extended to any other persons who may be affected by the Company’s operations.

 

Health and safety is an integral part of our business and has equal status to other aspects of business performance. Compliance with legislation is the minimum acceptable standard and we are committed to achieving the highest levels of Health and Safety performance through continual improvement. In order to meet our objective, the Directors shall, so far as is reasonably practicable: -

 

  • Provide and maintain plant and systems of work which are safe and without risks to health.

 

  • Make arrangements for ensuring the safety and absence of risks to health in connection with the use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances.

 

  • Provide information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to ensure the health and safety at work of employees.

 

  • Maintain in a condition that is safe and without risks to health any place of work under our control.

 

  • Provide means of access to and egress from any place of work under our control which is safe and without risks to health.

 

  • Provide and maintain for our employees a working environment that is safe, without risks to health and is adequate as regards facilities and arrangements for their welfare at work.

 

  • Ensure that this policy is documented, implemented, maintained, communicated and understood at all levels throughout our organisation.

 

  • Encourage all employees and contractors to take ownership of Health and safety and empower them in decision making.

 

  • To employ external professional advisors where necessary, who will review and help improve Health and Safety processes and performance.

 

The day to day management of Health and Safety is a responsibility of Managers at all levels but overall responsibility rests with the Directors.

 

The Directors accept that Health and Safety are management responsibilities and will provide adequate money, materials, equipment, time and resources to meet the obligations of the company.

 

In order to make this policy successful, we depend on the co-operation of all employees and contractors, all of whom will be made aware of their Health and Safety obligations, which is a condition of their employment

 

It is the duty of all employees to comply with the safety policy at all times and to act responsibly and do everything that they can to prevent injury to themselves, other employees and the public at large.

 

The Directors of the Company will review this policy periodically and annually as a minimum to ensure its continued suitability and effectiveness. Specific Health and Safety objectives that will facilitate improvements will be identified with timescales and responsibilities assigned to the objectives so the implementation of the objectives can be monitored.

 

The Directors will also make available this policy/statement in prominent positions in the offices and workplace, for inspection by all employees, and upon request any other interested parties.

 

Brebur Limited has made a commitment to continual improvement of Health and Safety, these are defined in our Health and Safety Management System which conforms to conforms to the requirements of OHSAS 18001.

 

Please also be aware that Health and Safety Management forms part of our Integrated Management System which conforms to ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) as well as OHSAS 18001.

  • Use energy efficiently throughout our operations, and support the efficient use of gas and electricity by our customers and suppliers.

 

  • Minimise the use of materials that are harmful to the environment and recycle wherever possible.

 

In order to ensure the achievement of the above commitments, the company has implemented an environmental management system which satisfies the requirements of ISO 14001:2015.

 

ISO 14001:2015 demonstrates our commitment to continual improvement of environmental performance, which we aim to achieve through clear objectives and targets which will be reviewed regularly, and as a minimum annually, and then communicated and reinforced throughout the company to all employees and contractors working on behalf of the organisation.

 

This policy is available to the public on request and will be reviewed periodically to ensure its continuing suitability

Environmental Policy Statement

We recognise that discrimination is unacceptable and equality of opportunity has been a long standing feature of our employment practices and procedure.

Equal Opportunities Policy Statement

Quality Policy Statement

Brebur Limited are committed to producing a high quality finished product where the workmanship and final product meets the requirements of the company, industry standards, and ensures high levels of customer satisfaction.

 

To achieve this goal the company endeavours that only reputable suppliers are utilised, materials are of a sufficient standard and the operatives installing the materials have proven ability, including Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) accreditation.

 

The aim is to agree customer requirements using accurate and efficient tendering processes and to minimise the occurrence of all defects in its activities, products and services. Proactive engagement with clients is a key innovative feature to improve understanding at the client interface at all stages.

 

To endeavour that the workmanship is up to the high quality that we require we will do the following:

 

  • Comply with our clients Quality Assurance procedures.

 

  • Check materials upon delivery to ensure that they are fit for the purpose, and reject any that do not met the required standard.

 

  • Endeavour that the operatives are capable of carrying out the tasks requested.

 

  • Site Managers/Supervisors will carry out QA checks to ongoing works and ensure that any quality issues are addressed prior to completion.

 

  • Site Managers/Supervisor to hand works over to client once the required standard has been achieved.

 

  • Ensure a prompt response to any remedial works that may arise after completion.

 

In order to ensure the achievement of the above commitments, the company has developed a quality management system that satisfies the requirements of ISO 9001:2015. This has involved defining our business context and ensuring that our management system is aligned to, and integral to our strategic business direction.

 

We are committed to the involvement of all our staff in implementing and continually improving the effectiveness of this system and will provide the personnel and resources to ensure that the importance of meeting and exceeding the customer requirements is communicated and understood throughout our company.

 

The Directors of the company will monitor and review quality objectives on a regular basis in order to foster continual improvement in all our activities. This policy will be reviewed for continuing suitability and effectiveness at Management reviews and as required and appropriate.

 

This Quality Policy is communicated to all employees, made available to any interested parties and published on our website.
